About Us
Caring and Commitment in Action
Assistance League of St. Louis is a nonprofit volunteer service organization that puts caring and commitment into action through community based philanthropic programs. We are an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff whose approximately 350 members identify, develop, implement and fund ongoing community programs to serve specific needs of children and adults in the St. Louis community.
- Organized in 1987 and was chartered as the 80th chapter of National Assistance League® in 1990.
- Members contributed approximately 40,000 volunteer hours during last fiscal year
- 14,076 children and adults in need served during 2008-2009 fiscal year
- All funds raised are returned to the St. Louis Community.
